Edgelynn Venuti

Board Chair

Edgelynn "Edge" Venuti is an undergraduate student at the University of Maine studying Ecology and Environmental Sciences. She has been in the climate justice sphere since high school- including working as a JustME for JustUS Rural Youth Organizer in 2022. She enjoys canoeing, camping and hiking with her friends in the beautiful Downeast area which she is lucky to call home.

Red is a systems change organizer, facilitator, and seamstress based outside Boston, MA. From a small farm town in Nipmuc Territory, their love for the land and the environment stems from early childhood outdoor experiences. Their work with systems change focuses on community relationships with local environments, decolonial/queer approaches to conservation, Indigenous sovereignty, and empathy-based networking. They spend their free time road biking, making clothes, and taking hammock naps.

Ella Tabasky

she/her

Secretary

A dedicated environmental activist, Ella has been on the frontlines with water protectors at Standing Rock, individuals fighting neighborhood oil drilling in Los Angeles, and with communities in the Porter Ranch community who were poisoned by So Cal Gas Company during the largest methane gas leak in US history. She is also a co-founder of Sunrise Movement’s Los Angeles hub.

 

Ella is an active advocate in the Wabanaki Alliance’s Tribal Coalition and has served in an advisory role for their major fundraising event, Nihkaniyane: Let’s Go Forward Together and helped launch their Businesses for Wabanaki Sovereignty effort. She is currently the Membership & Partnerships Manager at the Natural Resources Council of Maine.
